Mr. Chad Luther, High School Principal of South Lewis Central School, is pleased to
announce that 15 members of the Class of 2026 earned the distinction of South Lewis Lions
Club Scholars this year. To become Lions Club Scholars, graduating students must have
earned honor roll grades for at least 75% of their high school career. This year’s group of
Lions Scholars was honored at a dinner hosted by the South Lewis Lions Club on
November 5, 2025. After a welcome by South Lewis Lions Club President, Melanie Bush,
and an introduction of the scholars and their guests, members of the group were encouraged
to offer congratulations and words of wisdom to the students. Dinner and dessert were
provided by Heath Loomis and his team at “Divine Catering,” and after the meal, Mr.
Loomis addressed the guests to offer a few words of inspiration. The celebration ended
after each scholar was presented with a Certificate of Recognition and a hoodie imprinted
with the South Lewis Lions Club Scholar insignia. In addition to the many family members
who proudly accompanied the students, esteemed Lions Club members were in attendance
to offer their support. They were Heidi Chruscicki, Bertha Dorrity, Joan Smith, Alan
Woodruff, and Barry Worczak. The Class of 2026 Lions Club Scholars are as follows: Leo
B, Jenna B, Addison B, Lily D, Rachel D, James F, David
G. Jr., Katelyn G., Paige H., Shay K., Chloe K., Jackson M.,
