Are you raising your grandchildren, nieces, nephews or are they living with you for a period of time?

You are not alone. In New York State there are an estimated 179, 000 relatives caring for children that are not their own. Caring For Our Own is a educational support group for grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who are raising these children. Participants receive parenting tips, learn how to help the children in their care to better manage their behaviors, and are introduced to strategies that can help them to develop effective relationships with the parents of these children. They benefit from receiving helpful knowledge, understanding, and support from others in similar circumstances.
