Sunset over Watertown NY from Thompson Park

Another sunset from Thompson Park overlooking my hometown of Watertown NY

Trillium on Tug Hill near my favorite stream.

Another flower that I liked (Gerber Daisy perhaps?)

This is the very first image from the new trail cameras that I have set out from a recent grant I was awarded. Evidently this deer wanted to be the first to get her picture taken. Three others came by within minutes.

I don't know why, but I love this picture of this Sugar maple leaf (Acer saccharum).

The stream at the base of the Falls at the Fallsview Resort in Ellenville, NY.

Sometimes nature "cooperates" with the camera lens.  This Maple leaf fell into the strem and I snapped the picture as it hit.  Stream behind the Fallsview Resort in Ellenville, NY.

Small buck fawn (Odocoileus virginianus) that seems to be very interested in the trail camera.

Another visitor to the trail camera.

Ice accumulation from the storm that blew through our area on March 8 and 9, 2008.

The ominous fate of many trees from the ice storm of March 9, 2008.

Yet another neat image from the trail camera project. This feeding Lesser Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) was caught having a snack and wearing a little bit of "jewelry" on the left leg. For those who are non-hunters (either with gun or camera) this is a prized posession and valuable game management tool.
